Taking B2B eMedia Forward
At Cygnus, Dave served as Vice President of the company's Interactive Division from 2003-2006, where he oversaw the launch of nearly 30 business-to-business industry Web properties, including leading security portal SecurityInfoWatch.com, as well as AirportBusiness.com, ImagingInfo.com, and SDCExec.com to name a few, working with the company's leading print and trade show groups.
Dave built the company's Interactive Division from scratch, including
design, technology and content teams, driving
multi-million dollar revenue. In 2005, he was named one of MIN Magazine's 21 Most Intriguing
executives in the media industry. The company was among the B2B's industry leaders
in launching Webcasts, Podcasts, Blogs, Directories, Communities, Content-Driven features and more.In his three years running the Division, Iannone and his team oversaw the development of a corporate wide java-based content management system, and advances in multiple technology areas including e-mail, advertising, webcast and video delivery.
More than 100 Webcasts were produced, and dozens
of blogs and podcasts launched, as well as the company's first
video center, which included
on-site filming and editing from one of the largest trade shows within Cygnus.Working with the publication group, Cygnus' Aircraft Maintenance Technology group launched one of the most aggressive Webcast-based training programs under Iannone's watch, the FAA-endorsed IA Renewal Program, which allows technicians to be re-certified annually online.
Cygnus was also among the first B2B publishers to leverage Google's new Co-Op Search potential with revamped search engines for Firehouse.com, Officer.com and a new public safety industry search vehicle in PublicSafetySearch.com.

Dynamics at Firehouse.com
Over the years, Firehouse.com was fortunate to be on the front lines of issues and
events in the nation's fire and rescue service.Following the tragic events of 9/11, Firehouse.com partnered with the International Association of Fire Fighters to raise over $100 million for the families of the firefighters lost.
In 2000, Firehouse.com reunited most of the cast of the hit 70's firefighter show Emergency! for one last time, with a three-day series of events culmintating in Emergency! Fest.
Firehouse.com also worked closely with Touchstone Pictures' Ladder 49, providing logistical and firefighter support for the film. The site also coordinated a nationwide sweepstakes, in partnership with Nextel. Hundreds of the site's visitors were able to participate in the filming of the movie, and Hyattsville VFD's Truck 1 makes a cameo appearance.
Over eight years managing the site with longtime friend Chris Hebert, Firehouse.com
attacked critical fire and rescue service issues, helped promote and grow
the FIRE Act grant program, and most importantly allow first responders worldwide to
learn, communitate, train and get informed, all in one central destination online, a model
for B2B and B2C web portals in any industry or community.
